From the desk of the A&W in Spring Valley:

Dear Chris- Just wanted you to know that the tourism committee met yesterday and
we are seriously working on an Almanzo Market for next year's race. This will include
vendors. It is important to us that we keep the race in Spring Valley. I am trying to
get the Trib to have the City Wide rummage sale on the same day as well. This will give
the racer's families something to do besides... having a 99 cent float at the A&W...

Please let me know your thoughts about these plans. Also- is the date for next year's race
on May 14th?

Cheers,
Kathy

This sounds like a step in the right direction. Keep spouses and kids entertained, encourage commerce and give folks more opportunities to mingle.

Excellent! Now if only Roch can read about it in the paper to rub it in their faces. Top-notch just keeps going UP.

Uh-Oh, now you've gone and made something of this. The year after next we will probably be rolling out through main street in front of a marching band as the start of a parade. Your scooter escort will probably be taken over by police cars and fire trucks.

Great comment about the scooter. Chris chewed gravel past us a few times and I had to chuckle. I need to keep my aging frame in shape for next year. Spring Valley is the ideal host city.

Go ahead and let the A&W crew know that I'm sorry I drove my Salsa Las Cruces into the overhead cover.

That said, it was still some awesome post-ride food.
