Thanks for an amazing event, Chris. This was the best ride I've had in a long, long time. I'm looking forward to next year.

Chris,volunteers and sponsors,

Thank you, once again, for an incredible event. The work you put into this is simply amazing and well appreciated. The course was gorgeous and weather couldn't have been any better.

Since I wasn't able to finish last year, crossing the finish line was a huge milestone for me. And it only took 11 hours 40 minutes!

I was sorry my friend Ben couldn't finish with us due to his injury. I know he would have made it, too.

Thanks so much to Chris and the Almanzo volunteers for putting this race together.

This event is simply beyond words, I look forward to it every year. Thanks to Chris and all of the volunteers and sponsors. It is worth noting that more people finished the race this year (267) than had started in the previous three years combined (160). The speed at which this race has grown is probably because everyone who participates in it has nothing but good things to say.
I can't say thanks enough to Chris for putting this together every year, and for his awesome volunteers for keeping everything running smoothly. Oh, and thanks to my fellow racers for not being jerks. I was at the tail end of the the ride the whole way through, and you certainly couldn't tell that a couple hundred riders had already gone by. There was only the very occasional (mistakenly I'm sure) dropped food or gel wrapper.

Thanks for another fantastic weekend! Mr. and Mrs. Almanzo, the little Almanzos, and all the people that give their time to volunteer for this great event, and quite simply one of the best times one could have on two wheels.

Thank you Chris for showing me a little more about myself. I didn't know that I could accomplish such a distance, and have such a great time doing so! I plan to spread the word about your event so that others may experience it as well.

I plan to do it all again next year! Thanks again!

I'll echo what everyone else has said. Great, great event - great course and great volunteers. And I believe this is first event I've ridden where the organizer went to the trouble to shake my hand and congragulate me at the end. Very cool.

With this race you almost feel like you're part of a movement, more than just doing a race. It's a really cool atmosphere, and I really enjoyed it. I definitely plan to be back again.

I’ve done hundreds of races. Riding. Running. Swimming. All three combined. Long. Short. Big. Small. International. Local. What separated Almanzo 2010 from all those wasn’t the conditions (perfect) or the course (tough) or the competition (awesome)… but instead, the Race Director. Chris, it was apparent from the get-go that you not only are passionate about the race, but equally passionate about the racers. From greeting me and everyone else, personally, before the race, to more of the same on the course and post-race, you are the perfect example of how it should be done. Three cheers, friend.

P.S. Is the ‘donate’ link still live?

Chris,

I repeat what I said at the finish line, "Best Course Ever!"

Thanks for throwing such a great event. I am thrilled to be associated with it both as a rider and as a sponsor.

Do you have any idea how many people started the race?

Again, awesome job and thank you so much.
