Final Results for the 2009 Almanzo 100 - "The Hurricane"

Here are the final results for what I have decided to refer to lovingly as "The Hurricane". The winds were strong and unforgiving, the hills were steep and long and the abuse was never-ending. A cold start to a long day in the saddle left the field broken at the finish line. The following breaks down the final standings. They are listed in the order of their arrival to the finish line.

thanks again- way more fun than I ever thought it would be. already ready to get back out there and find a way to go faster/longer.

definitely impressed with any finish in this event! The fast guys went fast, the slow ones showed incredible perseverance.

Thanks for this Chris. It was grueling! Just getting to the checkpoint was a milestone for me. I salute everyone who finished, especially Erik!

Chris you are a class act, and was so impressed with the organization of the event! Jesse nice job and you too are a classy rider. I can't say that about the other rider who flipped out,swore at me and was a complete jerk! I'll I have to say to him is that I hope being a jerk was worth it. You at least made me have one negative flavor to the ride.

Chris-
Like so many already, I too, wanted to send my thanks. I can't say it any better than what's been said already except this. If there are any current or future race directors and organizers out there, it would be in their best interest, as well as the racers they hope to come to their event, to first come see how exceptionally well-organized Almanzo is.

I had a great time and hope to be back next year. Thanks for the opportunity to test my body against the hills and my mind against the wind.
